I’ve spent a month and a half of waiting and crossing my fingers and worrying and not sleeping… and it’s all finally over. Sort of.
I got my first letter of acceptance in the mail today.
The University of North Carolina at Greensboro, where I got accepted, is one of my lower-priority schools. That’s not to say that it’s not a good school, and I would never have applied there unless I thought I could go and be happy there. Still, there are some other schools I’m hoping to hear (good news) from before I settle anywhere.
All that being said, getting this first letter takes a lot of pressure off. I get to know now that no matter what happens, I have somewhere to go next fall.
I get to hear from another school in January, and the others won’t come until at least March.
So for now, I’m very happy, but soon the waiting starts again.
